7th Annual Bloorcourt Festival

7th Annual Bloorcourt Festival

This years Bloorcourt festival took an artistic turn with many unveiling’s taking place. The BIA took on a vital role in adding art to the community in a few different forms and in a few not so usual spots. A new mural was added just east of Dufferin, as well as two new poems that everyone passing by can enjoy one in front of the Gladstone library while the other sits on Westmoreland. The festival was the perfect time to unveil these treasures to everyone while they enjoyed all of the food our local vendors had to offer.

The wonderful new poems came from the minds of Gianna and Anne Michaels. While touching on our past and leading us into to the future these poems are filled with love and words that will be here in Bloorcourt for years to come. When you are on the corner of Bloor and Dufferin heading east you will find a far more colourful walk. These comes courtesy of artist Peru and the beautiful mural he has given us. Also coming into our community is the Bell Box project which brings colour and life to those rather boring brown Bell boxes. You will find them popping up all over Toronto but ours are the prettiest.

Our diverse community here is a strong one with many vendors working together and making our area better for all. These includes the many wonderful restaurants that serve food and drink from all over the world. To our very niche businesses selling goods and services that you cannot find anywhere else. These businesses are always finding new and exciting ways to contribute to this vibrant community so pass by often.
