Bridal Show Season

With bridal show season in full swing I wanted to go over a few tips that may be very helpful to you if you are getting ready for what may be your first visit. If you do not know already a bridal show can be very overwhelming if you are not prepared for it. It can be a real eye opener for anyone, I see it every year. You come extremely excited and leave tired, confused and frustrated. I will help you with our top 5 bridal show tips.

ONE…Bring very comfortable shoes. You will be walking a fair distance during the many hours you may be at the bridal show, it helps to be comfortable. I cannot tell you how many people have stopped at our booth complaining about their feet.

TWO…Just say no. If you do not need a photographer don’t take their info. It’s as simple as that. We all hate to see the garbage bin filled with everyone’s cards and brochures on the way out. After a few booths that bag can fill up quick and just get heavier and heavier.

THREE…Get ready for conversation. In our industry there are many people who love to talk and in most cases including ours we love talking to people and hearing a bit about them. We are not all there to SELL SELL SELL. Our approach is like many other vendors, we want to make a connection first and see if we can all get along.

FOUR…Do your research. To save time focus on who you will feel is a vendor you NEED to see. There can be over 250 vendors at the bridal show, seek out who you would like to know more about. Before your visit go to the bridal show’s website and check out the vendor’s and do a little research online, then get to their booth for a visit.

FIVE…FREE CAKE. Need I say more? You had me at FREE CAKE. Just get ready for the loooong lines.

I really hope that this has been helpful to you. Do not go to a bridal show without a plan of action, you will just run around. Make a list of things to do and accomplish them at the bridal show. It will feel really good about it and get home with a bag full of goodies you want and or need. Kinda like Halloween.

Thanks…Chris
