Hungarian Wedding at Glendon College – Melinda & Steve
How did the two of you meet?
We met in Montreal a very long time ago at a Hungarian Festival.
How long have you been together ?
We have been together for 11 years
Tell us about your favorite date together.
Being together such a long time it was hard to pick one…lol. For both of us one the sticks out is our weekend getaway to Ottawa where we were tourists and had a great time discovering all the sites together.
What is your favorite thing about one another?
My favorite thing about Steve is that he always thinks through things and ensure the best option is chosen. I know I will always be taken care of.
My favorite thing about Melinda is her loving and caring attitude.
How did he propose?
Two years ago we were on our first European vacation together. We were in Budapest and after a wonderful dinner Steve tried everything to get me to go to the castle or down to the river bank, but I was having none of it. After many tries he finally got me to go on the “Eye of Budapest” Ferris wheel. It seemed to be the only place that had AC. After looking around at the beautiful city we were in all lite up at night, Steve got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said yes and apologized right after for having such a poor attitude. I guess we are meant to be!
