Jocelyn & Everett’s Big Day…

Jocelyn & Everett’s big day was held at one of favorite Mississauga locations The Waterside Inn. Even though the weather did not cooperate at times this wedding day turned out to be one of our favorite’s from 2014. The very intimate setting allowed for great perspectives and wonderful images. Enjoy this set complete with the couple’s story.

How did the two of you meet?
We met through a mutual friend who set us up on a blind date.

How long have you been together ?
We have been together for four years.

Tell us about your favorite date together.
Our favorite date is actually our first date – indoor rock climbing. It was a great date because it required trusting the other person. We like to be active and it was a great place to start. We climbed a mountain in the Rockies last year, too.

What is your favorite thing about one another?
My favorite thing about Everett is he is a very thoughtful, caring person who will help those in need. Everett says his favorite things about me are my thoughtfulness, caring, and generosity.

How did he propose?
The engagement story is kind of funny. We were affected by the ice-ageddon power outage in December 2013. Our building was without power and therefore water for four days. My friend was kind enough to let me stay at her place, while Everett stayed elsewhere too. I didn’t know the proposal was pending but I was sad and crying on the phone to him that it was going to be a sad Christmas not seeing him and then me having to leave after to go fly out to visit family. Luckily on the 24th in the afternoon our power came back on. However, because of the outage the Christmas tree hadn’t been decorated, and we also decided (well, he decided with the story of buying a house) not to buy presents. So, I at least found lights and put them on the tree, so it didn’t look so sad. The morning of December 25th I turned the lights on to our empty tree. When Everett woke up we had a little “discussion” about not having a tree topper, and was I sure there wasn’t one. After the third time he asked me, with me being clueless, he told me to look at the tree…and there was the ring as the tree topper. Then Everett got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. So it actually turned out to be the best Christmas, after all.

Thanks again for taking such amazing photos and being so patient with us to get the photos. Your experience and knowledge truly shine through and we are so happy!
