How did the two of you meet?
We met at a Portuguese valentines dance at christ the king church. We
had mutual friends who were there as well. We started talking and
dancing together. He ended up asking our mutual friend for my number
and called me that weekend, and that was the start to our relationship.
How long have you been together ?
We have been together for almost 8 years
Tell us about your favorite date together.
Our favorite date would have to be our first date when we went to Jack Astor’s
and had an amazing time just talking. We connected and it felt like we knew each
other for awhile. Then we walked back to my house, it was really sweet and romantic.
A date that will never be forgotten.
What is your favorite thing about one another?
My favorite thing about mike is that he is a fun and caring guy, and
that he has a big heart.
My favorite thing about marilyn is her smile with her dimple and her
personality. I also love the fact we can both laugh with each other
and not at each other.
How did he propose?
Every year we go back to Christ the king church for the valentine’s day dance
to celebrate the day we met. In 2010 we were at the dance, dancing away when
the band Mexe Mexe called Mike to the stage and started asking him questions
and everyone at the dance were told that Mike had a special announcement to make.
That’s when he called me up and got down on one knee and proposed to me.
