Wedding Advice – The Budget

Getting married should be the best day of your life and for most it is. We have been to hundreds of wedding’s in the studios 30 years in business. However once and awhile we come across a couple who seem overwhelmed by the whole spectacle that comes with the wedding industry. You get seduced by the glitz and glamor of it all. Being honest, so do we from time to time. But it should not put a burden on your finances. That’s a terrible way to start your marriage.

We suggest you look at what is important to you both and try your very best to stick within a budget. Far too many times we can see that couples go a little overboard. That can be anything from cakes to decor to flowers. All of that is fine, but if is well above your budget that can hurt more than help. We can see the stress grow with clients as the day gets closer when they choose to book certain levels of service that they cannot fit within their budget.

You should both be ready to discuss compromises as there is a good chance you both have different views. The bride may really want those cool chair covers at $15 each. The groom may really need to rent that brand new Ferrari to take you around town. It is a great first test that gets you ready for your married life. Any outside influence should be heard but not taken to heart. This can be friends, family, and even those within the wedding industry. At the end of the day you are the two left standing after all the cake and food has been eaten. When you open up that wedding album there should only be reminders of a great day.
